The characteristics of plastic cutting boards

There are two types of plastic cutting boards. One is PE material. The color of PE material cutting boards is richer and the price is advantageous. Thick cutting boards are made in layers (non-integrated molding); and the density of PP material is higher than that of PE. , Are all one-piece molding (not layered), and the color is only white, and the price is much more expensive than PE material.


1. Plastic cutting boards are made of plastic, which is lighter than wooden cutting boards and bamboo cutting boards, and is easy to carry;


2. High hardness, strong and durable. If you need to chop ribs or chicken, duck, and fish at home, in this case, a cutting board with a thickness of 30-60mm is more suitable. Use it two or three times a week. A cutting board can be used for more than 15 years, with a long service life, and it is used. There is also less chipping at the time, so there is no need to worry about plastic chips being mixed into the food after use, causing poisoning;


3. Saving and environmental protection. The raw materials of bamboo cutting boards and wooden cutting boards are all natural materials. Take a wooden cutting board with a diameter of about 450mm as an example. Each such wooden block needs to be made from large trees 30-50 years old to produce wood in large quantities. Cutting boards consume a lot of resources; while trees have an irreplaceable role in regulating the climate, purifying the air, preventing wind and noise, and consuming a large amount of wood resources is unfavorable from the perspective of environmental protection;


4. Good antibacterial effect: Compared with natural materials, another advantage of plastic cutting boards is that they are not easy to breed bacteria. Many people believe that wooden and bamboo cutting boards are natural, non-toxic and harmless. In fact, these two cutting boards have shortcomings. Chopping boards of both materials contain plant fibers. When plant fibers have gaps, bacteria are easy to get in, and food residues are easy to remain in them and bacteria are easy to breed, and it is difficult to remove. The gap between the raw materials of the plastic cutting board is much smaller than the gap between the plant fiber, and the cleaning can be more thorough and cleaner. Now the plastic cutting boards produced by regular manufacturers are made of non-toxic materials, so there is no need to worry at all;


5. Another advantage of plastic cutting boards is that it is easy to dry and bacteria are not easy to multiply. Experiments have proved that 14 million bacteria are evenly coated on wood and plastic cutting boards, and then rinsed with tap water. As a result, the bacteria residues on the wood cutting boards are 70,000, and the plastic cutting boards are 600; and then brushing with a brush, the bacteria on the wood cutting boards are still more than More plastic;


6. Beautiful appearance and rich colors. The plastic cutting board made of PE material is available in a variety of colors.


However, it should be noted that when producing plastic cutting boards, some manufacturers often add excessive calcium carbonate, talcum powder, etc. as fillers in order to increase the hardness of the cutting boards and enhance the durability, and even mix recycled old raw materials to reduce production costs. It may lead to the precipitation of chemical substances. Some rough-made plastic cutting boards are also easy to drop slag and foam, which is mixed into food and enters the human body, causing harm to the body.
